What are the motorcycle lamps?

Author:

Motorcycle lamps mainly include headlights, turn signals, tail lights, position lights/width indicators, instrument lights, reversing lights, brake lights, charging indicators, fuel level indicators, fault indicators, etc.

Headlights: Headlights are the main light source used to illuminate the road ahead when motorcycles are driving at night. Common types include halogen headlights and LED headlights. Halogen headlights use tungsten wire as the light source, while LED headlights use light-emitting diodes as the light source. Some motorcycles are also equipped with dual or quad headlight systems to provide better lighting.

Turn signal: Used to indicate the motorcycle driver's intention to change direction, it is usually installed near the rearview mirror to signal other road users when turning. The turn signal may be of the halogen or LED type.

Taillights: Used to emit light at the back of the motorcycle so that other road users can see the position of the motorcycle. The taillights are usually red to indicate the direction of the motorcycle. The tail lights may be of the halogen or LED type.

Position light/marker light: Used to illuminate the side of the motorcycle at night to make it more visible to other road users. These lights are usually yellow and are installed on the handlebars, handlebar covers or other conspicuous positions of the motorcycle.

Instrument lights: Used to illuminate the dashboard and other internal components of the motorcycle, so that the driver can easily read the instrument information at night. These lights are usually white.

Reversing light: Used to emit light when the motorcycle is reversing to remind other road users to pay attention to the direction of the motorcycle. The reversing lights are usually white.

Brake lights: Used to emit light when the motorcycle is braking to remind other road users that the motorcycle is slowing down or stopping. The brake lights are usually red.

Charging indicator, fuel level indicator and fault indicator are respectively used to show whether the battery of the motorcycle is charging, the remaining fuel level of the fuel tank and to give a warning when the motorcycle fails.

The above are common types of motorcycle lamps, and different models may have different lighting configurations.
